What Are The Interior Design Trends To Watch?

If you’re planning to revamp one room, or maybe multiple rooms, in your home, you may well be scouring the internet to find out what interior design trends are hot at the moment.

Speaking to London Loves Business recently, chief creative officer at LuxDeco Jon Sharpe shared his predictions of what interior trends will be big throughout the rest of 2020 and beyond.

For example, he picked out the rising use of natural materials in our homes as one to watch and embrace because incorporating the likes of unfinished woods and natural fabrics into our living spaces can help introduce a sense of calm.

Mr Sharpe also stressed the importance of having a statement coffee table in your living room, noting that many designers are opting for a “sculpted centrepiece”. Another option is to use matching pairs. He said that if you’re going to have more than one table that the key is that “they are connected stylistically”.

Take a look at some of our designer contemporary furniture if you want to find something eye catching and unusual for your living room.

When it comes to wall decor, tapestries are coming back into favour, with Mr Sharpe explaining that there are a growing number of modern twists on this “ancient way of covering walls”.

News Anyway also picked out some top interior trends to consider if you’re planning something of a revamp at home. The news provider noted that curves and scalloped edges are proving more popular than straight edges on furniture and the likes of tiles at the moment.

Smart storage options are another thing that a growing number of people are looking for. Multifunctional pieces of furniture are a great option if you’re looking to increase the amount of storage space at home.
