The Kartell company has amassed a great wealth of knowledge and experience over the years, becoming world renowned for its use of technological savvy in the production of new and interesting articles. Using modern techniques, Kartell has produced some of the most iconic home accessories in the world to date.

Philippe Starck, the designer of the Masters Chair, pays respect to three contemporary design icons. By creating the Masters Chair, Starck has produced a “stylistic summation” through a fusion of styles. Starck has re-imagined the Series 7 by Arne Jacobsen, the Tulip Armchair by Eero Saarinen and the Eiffel Chair by Charles Eames by weaving the three designs into a most intriguing and sinuous hybrid.

Standing on four slim legs, the Masters chair is roomy and comfortable, with a space-age style clinging to its contours. The back of the chair is the most fascinating feature characterised by the contrast of continuity and empty spaces created by the curvaceous crisscrossing lines of three different backs which descend to merge into the edge of the seat.

In addition to its visual appeal, the Masters Chair is also durable and practical, being weather resistant and stackable up to 4 chairs high.
